University Essay Writing - Cody Cross, Bad Argument

The University Essay Codycross is an essay written by Cody Cross in 1998. This was written to help him with his high school exam, but the essay was not given the quality it deserved. Cody ended up giving up on the subject and it is a shame that he gave up on his grade, but at least Cody still has a decent grade.

So what exactly did this essay have? It was written from the perspective of a student. He was trying to convince his professor that the test he needed to take was a waste of time, and that he should skip it and go on to the easier subjects he would be able to handle. This is not an uncommon position for students to hold in high school and college. It is a valid one, but this student chose to take his argument and twist it so much that his argument no longer holds any substance.

Cody ended up making two mistakes. First, he did not provide enough evidence to convince his professor that his test was not worth taking. He never provided any data from which the professor could draw his own conclusion. This was a mistake in the way his essay was written. You should do the same thing when writing essays for college. Your essay needs to be written in such a way that you present solid information in an argument, but it should also be written in such a way as to avoid arguments that are simply opinions, and opinions that do not hold any substance.

You also need to prove your argument in a manner that is both logical and compelling. It is better to have your argument be written with a little logic and information to it than to have it presented completely without any. This makes it more convincing because your reader will believe that you have taken the time to make your argument thoroughly. If you give a good enough reason to be able to show your readers why their opinion should be considered the right one, then they will be more likely to believe it.

Finally, you also need to give a reason why your argument is better than the other argument. If the other arguments are weak, then you should prove them to be weak. If they are strong, then you should prove them stronger.

Cody did none of these things, and his argument was weak, so he had no other choice but to defend his bad essay. The best way to do this is to do exactly what Cody did, and only make the same mistakes.

Cody did not prove that the Earth is flat, because he didn't provide any evidence that the evidence was solid. He could have provided evidence for a flat Earth, but chose not to. He could have proven that he had received a good grade on his exam, but chose not to.

So the next time you write a college essay, think about how you can present solid, but compelling facts that you have researched and gathered yourself. without resorting to opinion.
